Embellishing a Sebbie?

I want to buy a Sebenza and do a bunch of my own modifications to it. The idea I have is to have a local place do some engraving, and I was wondering if the Ti could be engraved to be black? Like, with a laser engraving.

Wow that sounds like a lot of laser etching. I wonder if many engravers would be willing/able to do that?

Not fully black. I want to drop a black star sapphire into the hole and engrave a raven's head. I already know the two places in town where I'm going. The place that does the stones may even be able to do the laser engraving. They're a place that does custom jewelry only.

one problem you may encounter is the ti is not polished, but bead blasted. they are slightly textured and may obscure the image if it is detailed.

i would guess the laser engraving would work better if the slabs were sanded or polished smooth.
