Jason, keep up the fight bro. Things do get better. It's just hard to see it when it's happening to you. 2007 was the worst year of my life. Scariest time of my life. But that is just a bad memory now and 2008 is off to a good start. ;) Let me know if there is any thing I can help you out with brutha.

Perhaps when I get to Blade someday! Or perhaps I will make the pilgrimage to Bussetown Ohio!!

If I did that I would be happy enough to dance with ya!!

A day later while my wife and child are in it...it shuts down again, they finally are able to pinpoint the era....a complete fuel system (pump/filter/relay/ some damned hose) all go awry. So we borrow the MIL vehicle.....something new....something different. Well the wife lock the keys in the car while Lex is in the back seat......Southern Louisiana....6 weeks old in locked car......I instantly grab my CRK Sebie and bust the smallest rear glass possible...to the tune of 386 dollars!:eek: Rent a Car gives me a Minivan...Gravelface doesn't do Minis:grumpy: 3 days of coverage.....the part I need it a dealer only part and need to be ordered from Ontario!!!! 5 days of mini...3 covered extra $70. Warranty cover 900, I still have to cover $168 for the work provided.....

To relieve some of these burdens and stresses..I go to the gym..I break my normal weight lighting routine to do some cardio...Tony G inspired my to ride bikes.....well, while dismounting, I came up and off using my recently reconstructed knee only to have it bark at me in discontent:eek: I now have a limp and am writhing in pain as my pain meds are 5 days late :grumpy::grumpy: and VA can't get me an appointment to the Orthopedics till the 29th....HELLO!!!! Don't they know that is Blade:D

And what is with "instant gratification" what happened to the 4-6 week delivery time on anything? I remember when that was an industry standard, now it seems folks what Cpt. Kirk to beam you their Chit before it even post to paypal.......There are some Hogs here who I would drop what I am doing to help if they ask...why because they live life outside this keyboard and understand Suck happens.

My Grandfather (A Korean War Vet) just underwent emergency surgery to remove a cancerous tumor from his chest, yet he is out here trying to help my father and I lay floor and remodel his house for him so in his mind, when he goes, my grandma won't have to worry about the house.....he has Embraced the Suck and goes everyday with a smile on his face

Take it, Embrace it, you don't have to like it, but just make the best of it.

I think you have more than Embraced your fair share of the Suck my friend. I have faith things will come out just fine for you though. Your grand dad and yourself are grand examples to us all of how it is done. :thumbup:

I am not sure - she kind of freaked him a bit last time - without the dance...

... And I think for that one brief moment in time - Amy almost- could -not -even -speak!!
 
Ok.....I honestly believe I am getting tested by the Higher Powers that be. You have to understand I have a smile on my face because this is too funny.

First....something small on the way to work....I am fueling up and notice my rear driver tire a bit low.... I inspect it and see a rock "stuck" in the tread....no worries I say, pull out the trusty leatherman and proceed to pull out what could only be described as a FRICKKIN Arrowhead!!!! WTF!!!! As soon as I pull it out, EVERY bit of air blows out with the quickness. Luckily this is my hoopty 92 S10 and I keep EVERYTHING in there. Fire Extinguisher, SF tourniquets courtesy of Uncle Sam, MREs, gallon of water...every type of vehicle fluid, and most importantly Tire Plugs..I used to run lots of debris to landfills after Hurricane Katrina and caught more nails and glass than any other time in my life. Easy fix.....I get home and I SWEAR to you this is too far fetched to make up.....this evening I get a call from my "creditcard" company asking about a card I have ending in 4 digits and how it "may" be compromised....I think it is total BS a scammer fishing for numbers so I call the number ON the CC and it was a legitimate call...apparently someone in Nigeria was trying to buy airline tickets with my card numbers! The guy kept asking me if I gave my numbers to anyone....do I visit Nigeria....who else is in my house that could get my card...I told the fellow my 4 year old plays with it sometimes, but I doubt she was ordering Nigerian Airline tickets. So they tell me my card is compromised and they are refunding the purchase and reissuing new cards/numbers. Now I have to remember everyone I have automatic billing with and update them. It should be here in 7-10 days. I couldn't have made this up.

I am being tested:D.....at least it was this week and not during Blade!!!!
