Hmm lets look at this in a logical manner.

While i own a CQC6 and carry it daily and use it daily it never would be used to pry/bend/scrape or get any other abuse that my production cqc7 gets. Why because it has more centimental value than i could ever put a price on. I carry the 6 and 7 daily. if someone needs to borrow a knife they get the 7 if a fellow knife knut that appreciates the value of my 6 they can use it. the 6 get used lightly and the 7 gets used for really heavy work. I can't see spending 300-400$ for a PRODUCTION knife when i could get 5-6 production cqc7s for the price of the sebbie. While the fif and finnish of the Sebbie Might exceed the production emersons on occasion it doesn't come slose to the customs and handmades. while i hold Chris Reeve knives in high regards he could do alot better on prices its like he charges as much as he does because he knows people will pay it. This is just my opinion

Dennis

I think the Sebenza is a goregous knife. I would wear it to church with a suit. I wouldn't use it, not because I don't think it could hack it, but because I have cool Emerson knives to use.

I guess I don't appreciate the loyalty I am seeing in EKI knives. I own three of them. Commander, Mach1, and the CQC7A. They are ok knives. Not great by any means but only OK. The 7 was the best out of the three as for QC. The other two the blades are stating to wander off towards the left hand liners as the knife is turned belly up. This is when they are in the closed position. The Commander is actually starting to rub the liner when opeining it. I know what is doing this I just can't fix it or I don't think they could be locked closed. It is the ball detent on the right side as they are again held belly up. They are all 3 a bitch to sharpen, but when they get sharp they really aren't that hard to maintain. The grind for the edge is on the wrong side if you are right handed. I proved this by using another larger CS tanto Voyager and my Mach1 to just whittle a fuzzy stick for the fire place for the hell of it. The CS shaved the stick and the Mach1 dug in to much. This is on seasoned hickory. Could something as simple as this be done of course I just had to do it left handed. Lots of tool marks on the liners and the rotating part of the blade by the lock. This is on all three. The coating has worn off the screws on the Mach1 and the Commander at the pivots but not on the CQC. SO I have 2 black handled knives with a muted silver screw on the scales and the adjustment. I am thinking it may be the oil I used to sharpen them. As for the quality of the knives as compared to a CRK, there is no real comparison. The quality of the CRK's I have examined at gunshows and a friend of mine, he owns an older one are superb. Not handmade by any stretch but far superior finish wise and much better quality than some handmades I have seen. Not bitching really well yea I am. Paid good money for the Commander and the CQC and got a great deal on the Mach. They shouldn't have the blades wandering off and the bluing should last on the screws. Blah blah blah ad nauseum I am tired of hearing myself whine. Keep'em sharp

Oh? I thought that you posted on 12-21-01 that the CQC-6 was stolen?

Don . . . No, no, no. He got them back on 12/22/01:

I just got a phone all from Ballys Someone returned my watch/light/wallet/cqc6. Left it in the locker room and a life guard found it. Guess some people have hearts

He still hasen't explained the whole "I got someone elses serial number off the Internet" thing.

Do you really think this guy has a firm grasp of reality?

as far as the comment of teh fit and finnish of the sebie....
I know a guy who cracked his small sebenza blade in half forcefully cutting through 1/2 inch thick cardboard never seen that happen to an EKI knife or even heard of it.

Riiiiiighhht ...

and, what did Chris Reeve have to say when your friend sent that small Sebenza in for him to look at?

I have never seen a troll such as this. One that screams for the attention of others. You are an incredible piece of work, you lie then get angry when people call you on the lies. Whattadick.
