I gave my four daughters for street safety, a Fox 40 Micro that they carry on their keychains.
Unfortunately, some of them broke at the ring holder.

I then purchased JetScream Ultimate Survival whistles to replace them

Later, I contacted Fox, and they sent me immediately a whole bunch of Sharx Safety.
The Sharx Safety is much much louder!
Their website says 120 dB, and cover your ears when you blow it hard.
The Sharx is much louder than both the Fox Micro and the JetScream
The girls now carry the Sharx
Well worth getting

^^^ I agree that she probably wasnt listening for a whistle, preoccupied

DO we not most likely hear what we expect to hear? Discussing the possible use of a whistle to signal may increase hearing.

Picked up one of these a few months ago. Although I didn't know it at the time, I had never owned a really loud whistle. The Sharx maiden voyage was in my office, with five others present. Was a Monday morning and thought I'd wake them up. Blew really hard! Oops! No idea it would be that loud. I wasn't very popular that day.
