I've been an Emerson Knife fan going way back. wish I'd kept all the customs I've owned. I do have this one, a Pre-Tac. Check out the anodizing, carved pivot and thumb stud, half moon logo and the awesome, early tactical blade shape.

I understand from Emerson that they will be doing a right hand grind version of the CQC7 in the near future.

I recently sold a couple of my Emerson CQC-7BW’s and regretted it ever since. So it was reasonable to return to the mothership and order a new one in my favorite configuration. Emerson has the best serrations in the business IMO.

I definitely need to pick up one with serrations. I really like that configuration you picked out. The thunderstorms have some really low numbers

Yes, and it is a bargain, since they only charge $5 to add serrations when you buy a new knife, or you can send an existing knife in to have serrations added for $25 (which I have done before).

Sold my Commander but still have a Stryker.

That said, I was mistaken for Ernie at the Blade Show one year. And we had a good laugh over it at breakfast one morning.

(I'm taller...but not by all that much, as I recall.)

Ordered a stonewashed serrated commander earlier in the week it's due to arrive this coming Tuesday ~ Had one long ago but I never got very attached to it ~ it was a righty drilled for lefty and just never stuck with me ~ This time around I did it right I ordered a Lefty
