Emerson and Neeley Timberline Specwar

Thanks Boggs,

I wasn't banking on it helping the price I was only hoping it wouldn't hurt it. I think it is kind of funny that of all people's it would be his signature on this knife. If I understand correctly he was always kind of a knife purist? As in, knives are for cutting and only cutting. This thing is a freakin sharpened prybar.

Here's mine !

That is a great knife, to an Emerson collector it could be worth a few hundred dollars.

I found one at a garage sale here in Ontario Canada, It had a piece of cardboard taped around the blade as a sheath, after taking a second look at it and realized it was a find being a timberline knife owner and an Emerson Admirer. I was able to talk the owner down from $10 to $5 because the sheath was missing. When I got it home I did some research and realized what I had just acquired was special and that Timberline had been sold to Gatco so I contacted them and they still had a couple of the second generation kydex sheaths kicking around so I ordered one from them for $65US which was a lot more than the $5CA I paid for the knife but was happy to do so and I think I did alright all in all. When I purchased the knife it was in new condition but the aftermarket sheath has left marks on the blade making me regret putting it in there but what can you do. I don't want to sell it but am curious as to value and rarity. I collect all types of knives and this is one of the least expensive I've ever bought that might end up being one of the most valuable I own now, up there with my ZT,s and Tops. I will include pics when I figure how.

2 things: you can't ask about value unless you are a gold or higher member and don't resurrect dead threads.

Never understood this policy , or why mods don't just close old threads if this is really such a concern ?
Because they’d spend their lives closing old threads. There’s hundreds of thousands of old threads on this forum. There’s probably hundreds made a day across all sub forums. They’d have to develop a unified policy for time, comb through pages of threads, then close thousands of them. I’m pretty certain the mods here are volunteers.

You don’t grave dig because then people start replying to old things within the thread because they’ll think they’re new. Most people don’t bother reading the date stamp of the OP. So, you just get people replying to old posts in a dead thread.

Sorry, woops, literally my 1st day. The last few coments were years appart so I didnt know. ill try and start a new one that dosnt mention value.
