Emerson asks for your help

Couple weeks ago or was it last weekend I am at this gun show, and there is this guy selling OTF Microtect Autos, and some weird Spyderco like I have never ever seen before.

I ask the sell if did not mind if I examined his offering closer. I said you got knocks off there, and they are not even close to the real deal. He smiled, and said they sell well. I said he was ascroundal, and he said his customers don't care, and are motovated by price of offerings.

He admitted his knives were made in China, and the Chinese will knock off anything they can copy be it a good or bad copy. It is all about money.

will do

man i hate fakes

even more the fact that some buyers who think they are just so smart- that only they found a great deal on something - where it should be obvious that the price is to good to be true - and then they write a bad review saying x-product is not high quality - i have seen that several times -

nothing wrong with looking for a good deal - but please - within reason

This counterfitting, copying thing has been going on forever. My buddy who worked in the garment industry for over 40 years. Said a designer would take the new line to market to show. The trade magazine, and photographer who cover the event would sometimes sell their images of the new design. To many in the rag business who would copy, and have their copy items in what Joe called knock off shop a few days after market was over.

Years ago I recall Levi Company who made 501's, was trying to fight off knockoff 501's after consumers got upset that their 501's were not lasting as long as threy once did.

I just got this used super karambit off of ebay. Besides the terrible front/back blade play, I am suspect of the liners. This is my 3rd super karambit and I've never seen liners like these before. Can someone chime in about this, please? I'm planning to contact ebay about it tomorrow - I just don't want to get ripped off.

At the moment there are at least six of these counterfeit combat karambits on ebay, all from the same seller. The prices are not "too good to be true" either, but fairly close to authentic prices. For instance the guy is trying to sell two USED consecutively numbered ones for $450, which he calls "safe queens." I've notified ebay but no response yet.
