New to this Forum, but, I can speak intelligently and experienced on this topic: when you've survived the "Blast", survived the "Fire after the Blast" and you're hanging upside down trying to disembark the vehicle before someone tries to give you another "RPG" enema, with the disorientation, dust and cries for "MEDIC" having an AO Blade, Emerson or otherwise, to cut your harness and anyone else's, is a pretty handy tool to have. I carried both an Emerson CQC7 from the early 90's and a Boker AO, both made quick work of the strapping and anything else. And I personally don't consider the Boker, "girlie". Just a thought.
