Emerson/Kneeley Timberline Specwar knife w/sheath
The SPECWAR is made in the USA from 60Rc, ATS34 steel. Affixed to the butt of the handle is a 304 stainless steel pommel that is not attached to the blade so that can be used for light hammering, yet will not conduct electricity from the blade. The handle is made of Grivory, which is a thermoplastic cross that has some flexibility and hardness while being non-conductive and heat resistant. The knife was designed to accomplish and withstand prying, insulated cutting, chopping, swing cutting and light hammering, in that order of priority. It was originally a custom piece created for NAVSPECWARGRU ONE and although it wasn't selected, it was awarded the "American Made Knife of the Year" at the 1995 Blade Show.

3/16" blade thickness and 1 3/8" blade depth. False top edge. Chisel grind.
