Maybe I am as blind as a bat but I simply cannot see how folks call the 630 a "clone" of the commander!!!
In fairness to Ernie I have examined them both very closely and beyond the recurved blade style I see nothing else. They are both folders and there just is so many ways to manufacture a folder.
I am a big fan of Neil's work so maybe I am blinded by my friendship for him, but........
On the other hand that hole does look familiar!!!

Not that I care, but before you go around hurting someone who does.......
You might want to slow down and actually read people's posts and figure out their interpersonal relationships before you start dinging them.
Not only am I a friend of the guy who posted his "flamed" BM 630 (we're actually rooming together at Blade East one night), but I'm also a friend of the artisan/craftsman who did the torch treatment of her scales. And what's more, I'm also a friend of Neil Blackwood.
When I said that John's knife SUCKED, I'm actually kissing his ass!
Even if you had not noted this interpersonal history from my many previous posts regarding the debates on the model 630, you should've at least tried to READ the post and see the friendly smiley at the bottom of my reply.
Like I said, I could care less, as my "reputation" (what little of it I have, ROFL!) within this community is already a known quantity, but you might want to calm yourself from this newfound hobby before you stumble upon someone who DOES care.

Was checking-into my CP for user-setting alterations when I saw a red dot. Dunno.
The date and time matched to about one hour after I told John that he "sucked" -so I figured that someone musta thought I was treating John like crap (which he rightfully deserves, for deserting us all for a week to go to The Land of Dairy for work, LOL!).
In any case, I'm just laughing at it 'cause of all the teasing and things that go on between us brothers. Thanks for the points-up, I'm still rolling on the floor and laughing!
I just don't want guys to start dinging people at the first sign of some misunderstanding or supposed ill-will, as there are going to be newbies who WILL care about this ratings issue, who might truly be hurt by such indiscretion.

Sorry, I was not aware that the swapping of Skirmish handles with standard Commander handles was common place. So...nothing to see here, move along. Pay no attention to the man behind the insignificant post. Errr...i was drinking heavily that day. I was dropped on my head as a child.
