What we have here is a FULLY pimped CQC-13 with a Krein reground blade. This knife was made in 2006 and the reground was done back then as well ad it does not sport Tom's logo. He did not stamp earlier pieces and I have confirmed with him that this is his work. The regrind is double hollow and the chisel edge is long gone.
Scales are Shadetree Electric Plum Micarta with black linen bolsters and spacer. This knife has all new hardware including the custom mokume thumb disk forged by Ariel Salaverria. The scales were done by Sketchen and are flawless as you'd expect. He also cleaned up the factory grind lines on the edges of the liners for a much cleaner look.
The custom low rider clip is powder coated Ti with a one-off Calico Jack jolly roger insignia.
Detent and lockup are perfect, blade centering is very close to dead center but can be adjusted to it if the pivot is loosened just a touch. I like 'em a bit tighter.
Included with the knife are the original scales, spacer, clip, disk and all hardware.
The only "flaw" I can find are some very light scuffs toward the tip on each side that can be seen in the pics. These are identical and appear to be from the re-grind. I haven't tried to get them out but i'm sure you could. This knife appears to be un-used, likely carried but the edge looks original to the re-grind. I have not used it since the work was done.
***Price is $250 NET via Paypal shipped to the USA. $225 if you don't want the mokume disk. This is far less than I have into this project and a steal when you consider a new model will run you $240 bone stock. Price is FIRM
