I'm working on bringing this two color inlay design into the fold. My first test machining worked out rather well... looks like its a GO...!

More pics as it happens...

Is it the same dimensions as the 2014 factory scale, so it hangs over slightly all around?

If so, how much and where can I get a set? :D

Very nice!!

A few pics to illustrate how I go about this... first the red G10 crosses are machined. Then the white G10 shield and the cross pockets are machined. Lastly... the black G10 scale coupon is machined to accept the shield/cross assembly. I use JB Weld epoxy for the sheild/coupon and thick black CA adhesive for the cross/sheild. The black adhesive leaves that black thin contrast line around the cross.

Once all the glue ups are cured... the coupon goes back on the CNC and the remaining twelve operations are performed...

Superb!
Can you do a Iron Cross?
rolf

An iron cross would most likely end up too small given the height is the same as the width. There's not all that much real estate to do these type things...

The custom scale has the same flush profile fit as the OEM. It is slightly thicker than stock to accommodate the inlay process...

I do not discuss pricing in general forums... PM or Visitor Message me for details...

Here's the pair of them... ready to mount... I just do not happen to have a CQC-7 on hand to do that to. So... unfortunately... no knife pics...

The set I ordered just arrived. They are FANTASTIC!! The man who makes them is fast to reply and it was a pleasure doing business with him. I bought my first Emerson back in 2002, now I have five of them. Each gets pocket-time, but I think the CQC7 with the shield will be getting carried more than the rest.

Sweet jesus that's beautiful! If you could make the same grips for a persian or patriot, I would buy it in a heart beat.
