I made a post about three weeks ago that I sent my CQC 6 to Emerson to be refurbished. I got a call on my cell phone this afternoon from Ernest Emerson himself. He apologized for the delay & that the knife would be finished today & sent out to me today as well. He explained that he was busy at the shot show. I opted to pay for next day delivery of my knife. I'll post as how it looks when I receive the knife hopefully tomorrow.

Got the knife back yesterday. Although it doesn't look new it still looks alot better than it did.

Emerson explained that he removed the blade and bead blasted the entire knife. Bolsters, slabs & liners. The scales now have their original texture to them. They were kind of turning beige from the original green. The bead blasting removed the tiny scratches on the bolsters & the outer edges of the liners. I didn't want the original satin blade bead blasted so all he did was gently touch the edge. (Still no secondary bevel on this knife)

All & all I'm pretty happy with the knife.

His turn around time for refurbishing is usually pretty fast. I guess a lot less time than building a knife from scratch.
