My only Emerson is a CQC-10. I am left handed and love the oval hole. This knife fits well in my hand and I have confidence in it. When I first got this knife the lock bar was sticky and the action was not smooth, but now everything is like butter. First knife I've owned that has gotten better with use. My next purchase will hopefully be the Sheep Dog. I like the blade length.
