Is it true that the emerson hard wear line is to be discontinued? seems like a pretty good price on these knives, still waiting for my order but i think they'll function just fine, i plan to reverse the clip on the reliant so i can use it left side pocket, with the minicom in the right.

anybody here actually bought these lower priced emersons? any reviews would be a most welcome read.

I dont own one personaly but have seen and handled one,
I think it was an endeavor or something. It was a spear point lock back any way.
I wasnt vastly impressed with it tbh but for the price it was just fine.

For lower priced folders I would personaly go with something else.
Its hard to beat the Delica for a knife at a similar price point,
its only costs a little bit more if any at all and pretty much has all the same
features but has a VG-10 blade, that is a much better blade steel than AUS-8.

Get the real-deal.
Not that there's anything wrong with the Hardware line. :D

i also dont own one but have handled a couple and they seemed to be fine for the $$.

for a cheap pocket knife imho its hard to beat the spydie byrds though...........

i hadnt heard the hardwear line is being disco'd either.........

good advice all around, it's already been purchased though, the reliant., i plan to take it diving, see how it holds up, benchamde makes divers knives out of aus 8 so i guess this will not rust that easily

If you want something that does not rust you had better get a Spyderco Salt or David Boye folder. Those knives are rust free! GOOD LUCK! Kevin :D Emersons Hard Ware series are nice for the money!
