Emerson/Kershaw collabs for sale!

Personally, I find it far more offensive that Mick Strider (or.Mickey Ray Burger or whatever his name really is) blatantly lied about his military record to promote himself as some kinda bad-ass black ops dude, or a mercenary than some douche from KIA who was going around insulting people on the internet.

But, it doesn't stop me from buying the product (I had my Strider SnG in my pocket today)

Fair enough.

We are allowed to have our own opinions and as a result it makes the hobby (or sickness) all the more interesting. It allows for us to buy whatever tickles our fancy and allows makers to make whatever they like.

For example, I don't see the point in Crusader Forge/Medford/Direware/over built tacticals. Not everyone has to like the same things that I like and I will admit that KAI is extremely innovative and offers a well priced product given the materials and attention to detail. Hell, I remember when the Tilt was being produced and how I was on the edge of my seat the whole time and I managed to get one. Very high tech knives for the money. I wasn't even into Emersons and in fact I remember thinking they were overpriced and shoddily made. Now here I am, with almost exclusively Emersons in my rotation. Maybe in time my opinion will change.

Enough derailing.

So who's gonna post some comparison pics of these Kershaw collabs next to the real deal?

Well said, man.

And I haven't ordered any yet but when I do I'll happily throw some shots up. I'm sure someone else around here will beat me to it, though.

With all the crying about Ernie's claims of his knives on this or that mission in the "Fit and Finish: A Long Story" thread, I felt compelled to post about peoples tolerance of the same example you gave here, but that thread REALLY needs to go away.

To your point, while I don't expect people to be perfect, I do value integrity, among other things, and choose to support it with my money. While I don't like or dislike Mick and Duane, their blatant dishonesty used for personal gain prevents me from buying any one of their products, which I would really like to have mind you. That, and they currently have a statement on their website, under FAQ, that states "liars and cheats will be hunted". Total hypocrisy, and still clearly lacking integrity.

I mention it because, the things I choose to base my purchases on are different than yours, or the next guy, or the next guy. And that's all good, but some people are offended by others not liking what they like, and feel the need to defend their choices. That's life, we here in the Emerson sub-section seem to understand that, and work it out differences much faster than other sections of BF, which is why I like it down here.

Getting my post back on topic. I've really been wanting to buy my wife an Emerson, but her lack of dedication to carrying knives has prevented me from making the purchase. I think these KAI/Emerson collabs are a perfect way for me to test the waters with her and an Emerson design.

Any news on the arrival of the ZT/EKI collabs? I bought a magazine where they are advertising them today so I figure it must be close.

^^^^ The ZT 0620. It's going to be a ZT and Emerson fans' must have, and priced like a normal production Emerson. Epic.

I really hope someone from here picks one up and gives us a small review. I would love to see how it stacks up to an actual Emerson.
