emerson knife liner lock?

I like the Lawks I wish they would make a more sturdy version of the Lawks to go with a thick well made liner or frame lock does anyone know of such a knife (thick well made liner/frame with a thick Lawks washer, preferably auto Lawks.)

I am skeptical of all liner locks and even frame locks if I purchase one it would always be an uncertain experience for me.

i dont know of anyone using lawks except for CRKT and lake and walker customs.

and again there is nothing at all wrong with a well fitted liner lock, or frame lock, some of the best folders in thw world use liner locks and frame locks, if you dont like them that cuts out a lotta very fine knives and leaves you to pick from only axis locks and lock backs, which is imho really short changing yourself when it comes to knives,

I don't know if anyone else addressed this on this thread but EKI does produce framelock knives. The HD7 and the CQC-12 combo. They are both currently out of stock from EKI, but you can get one from a dealer or from Ebay.

hi guys! are all emerson knife produces a liner lock design? how was the durability of the product? ived heard that frame lock is more reliable than liner lock knives?

They aren't only out of stock but OUT OF PRODUCTION.

THAT IS INCORRECT! I just called EKI again this morning to confirm, because I had heard a little while back that they would be bringing them back for a SHORT RUN, with some being semi-custom. EKI confirmed this morning, what I had been told from a friend on another Forum (where I spend most of my time). You can still find these at a few dealers out there. But they will be back, but only on the EKI website. This was obtained directly from EKI.

if they are so great why dont more companies use them other than CRKT?

From what I've read it's major $ to do.

i dont think EKI will ever use the things, & if they do i would hope it would be "optional" as its just something i dont want.

Yeah, I agree that it should be optional. IIRC you can remove the LAWKS from any CRKT knife.

Well they must have change their stance since last week when a couple of us called about the frame lock models, and were told that they were out of productio and that the pre-orders for the HD-7's were a mistake on their website.
