Emerson Knives EDC-1 Multitool

I bought a Multitasker a few month ago and loved it, so a few weeks ago I bought the EDC from the Emerson website and was very impressed with it. The problem is I flew to Colorado the other week and I guess someone with AA or the TSA was impressed with it too and it didn't make it. Does anyone know of a cheaper place to get one? I can't pay another $185 this month. I will save my money and get another one, but I want to get it sooner then later since I have an empty box staring at me.
Thanks for any info.

hi i'm new here and i'm also looking for a cheaper emerson edc-1,i was hoping you can provide me a source too, thanks

On the EDC-1 now that I've carried it for a day I have one issue with it. I would've put the detachable prytool (with a bottle opener) and dual stepped hex wrench cutouts not on the grip but inserted it within the middle of the multitool. The G10 grip on either side (the other side has the big clip) is used very little so not as grippy as perhaps it could be. Not a show-stopper.

that's actually a great idea for Gen2 - not sure if it's doable, but if it is - you just earned yourself a free sample

Were you able to mod the EDC-2?

Bought the same EDC-1 you had, the partially serrated. I normally only use straight edge, but I am using it as a multitool :) and the serrations just add one more feature. I love mine. I heard many complain about it arriving dull. Mine arrived shaving sharp. I know it's a bit expensive, but have found the blade, accessories and design to be well worth the cost. I have no problem with the weight and it is completely unnoticeable in my pocket. It's my favorite EDC.

anyone interested in selling an EDC - 1?
Or perhaps there's something else similar to it out there, with a detachable flat wrench?
