- Very early Emerson MV2 lefty. SOLD This is a very important and valuable piece and is from Ernies' transitional period from luxury knives to tacticals. Dated around 1989, it is one of the very first tactical inspired knives. This example is extremely rare being a thumbstud opener featuring his old 'Halfmoon' logo and a full lefty configuration. Possibly the only one remaining. Especially in such great shape for its' age! Would make a great collectors piece or even better as a daily carry knife!
I bought it to carry daily but it has just sat in a SackUps pouch as I prefer my small lefty Mayo Sebenza for daily carry (I don't feel so guilty using that as I would with the MV2).
It is about the same size as the small Sebenza with a three inch blade and has a perfect profile for slim pocket carry. Us leftys never had it so good!!
Features:
- 3" blade
- Hand made V grind with swedge
- Halfmoon logo
- Thumb stud opener
- Thick Ti liners and bolsters with faint anodizing
- Micarta slabs
- Very smooth action with perfect lockup
- Made in a time when it would've took Ernie the same amount of time to make one of these with far less sophisticated tools as he would take to make several modern customs.
- Is in great shape for its' age and looks almost new and unused.
- Brian Lyttle folding hunter. SOLD This was featured in the Anthony Hopkins and Alec Baldwin movie 'The Edge'. There were only 8 ever made and he will not make the exact knife anymore but a similar one with screwed construction which doesn't look as nice as this one. This one is #7 from the run of 8 knives and I believe Anthony Hopkins has #1 in his personal collection. It has VERY thick mammoth ivory scales, and an ATS-34 blade with the nicest hand rubbed satin finish I have ever seen. It originally cost $3000 and he has a long waiting list but he will not make the exact knife again. It has the initials AS on the bolsters in the style of Anthony' characters initials in the film but Brian Lyttle has told me that he can change the bolsters to new plain ones or with any other initials in January 2012. It's one of the best looking folder ever made in my opinion and the fit and finish of both knives is nothing less than masterclass!
The Lyttle is mint and like brand new condition and has roughly a 4" blade iirc so it's a pretty large folder.
