Hey, everyone! Moving along an Emerson Mini CQC-7. I removed the wave on this one. Square cut, chamfers, looks clean and feels great under your thumb. This one came from a trusted friend who said this knife was recently returned to Emerson for a new lock. Works perfect. I also reshaped the back spacer while I had it apart and sanded it to 600 grit. Originally , the backspacer looked like a 7th grader made it in shop class. It looks very nice now. Knife was reassembled with blue loctite on all fasteners including pivot. Perfect detent. Edge retains original profile. It's been used, but you can still see the original grind lines on the face of the chisel edge. No use since I reassembled. Ready to rock!
I took on this project because I really like the Mini CQC-7, but wanted one without a wave. Emerson says they have only made one run without a wave and may never do it again. Right now there are not enough requests. I'm moving this one only because I have plenty in this size and figure someone else could be enjoying it. Price will remain firm because of availability.
