I've been looking at this knife for awhile and I'm really considering buying it. Was wondering if anybody had some advice on it. Thanks

I like it, some feel the Chisel grind is difficult to use, but I havent had any problem (and i'm left handed)
Good size for a 'Mini' - Lock up is rock solid and liner lock leaves a lot of room for wear.

Mine is cycled through about 15 other folders, so doesnt see dedicated pocket time, so cant comment on wear.

I will however say this, It's a simple knife, it opens, locks and closes. For the money, and size I do have to say I prefer my Benchmade 707 Sequel (axis, drop point, satin finish)

Just a suggestion.

You cant go wrong with any Emerson. I have never owned a cqc-7 myself, but I have had a lot of other models. I liked my HD-7s grip, but I found the commander's grip to be the best. I would recommend getting a plain edge version because its such a small blade and with a combo edge it would be hard to take advantage of either blade edge.

I've got both a Sequel and Mini-7. I too prefer the Sequel for fit and finish -- it's more gentlemanly. The Mini is better suited to work or hard use.

Yeah, forgot to mention that....depends on the intended use :D

If you are going for a mini EKI go with the 14 way better knife imho. I have owned both and imho the 14 cuts like a big knife cause the blade is wider. Looks bigger too. Or go with the reg. 7. Some guy in evil bay is selling the 7a's in PE cheap. Nice too. I got one! keepem sharp

I just got a Lefty Mini CQC-7BW, great knife. Just the right size for me.

I have 3 Emersons, A-100, 14 and the mini-7b. The 7 is my edc for work, sheeple friendly, super sharp for a liner, locks like a vault. I really like Emersons, and this is from a guy who has much more expensive knives. Ernest stands behind his knives, great customer service; and warriors use them. If good enough for Navy Seals, good enough for me. Get it!!!

The grinds are tooooooo thick on Emersons... turns me away. IMO of course...

you can get them plenty sharp i promise ya lol.

if ya dont believe me i live in your neck of the woods and would be glad to show ya (round rock).
