Has anyone ever used the Emerson EDC 2 Multitool? It looks super cool and useful. Could it replace a pocket knife? How's the quality and durability? I just learned about this thing last night, so if anyone could shed some light that would be awesome! Thanks and happy new year!

I have the V.1 with the pry bar. That proved to very handy. It is a bit bulky, a bit pricey and a little heavy, though the new version looks sleeker. Build quality is good. Durabilty has held up as I like the locking tools. Think of it as a cool SAK. I'm happy with it. YMMV.

I had one of their more recent versions. I thought it was a fantastic little piece of gear. For me, it would not replace my EDC knife as the actual knife blade was a little on the small side, for an overall kind of bulky tool. However if you feel that you will use the screwdrivers and possibly the awl very frequently then it might be the tool for you. Personally, I don't use the other tools enough to need to carry them with me and benefit more often from a larger single EDC blade.

The build quality is great though. It is not US made like other Emerson products, but really, no multitools are these days. It is produced by multitasker, and I ended up getting one of their AR-15 tools, and it is super handy. If you think that you will use those tools, give it a shot. The G-10 is nice, pocket clip, tools lock, knife is sharp and coated for rust resistance, etc, and it is fairly priced.
Best of luck.
