I picked this up in a trade about a month back and now I've got to move a few things for incoming (you know how it is....)
It's a no date Specwar, MV-4, ti bolsters, black micarta scales. The knife appears to have never been used and I haven't used it allthough I did carry it for a few days. The bolsters and liners have been reblasted with a media which offers more scratch resistance than Ernie's typical finish. Since I didn't do this, I unfortunately don't have any more info regarding the new finish. The finish is lighter in color when compared to the typical Emerson blast finish on the bolsters.
The blade doesn't have a mark on it and is razor sharp, lockup is perfect, no blade play, centered, no issues whatsoever on the knife. FYI: I spoke with Emerson, the knife can be sent in and "reblasted" with Ernie's normal finish. There is a fee and it will also probably take a fair amount of time as Ernie is a busy guy!
Includes box and papers, pictured next to my five for comparison. It's in mint condition but since it's been "modified" I'm looking for $815, shipped in USA, no fee paypal.
