Dear Members,

To all members of this forum and to Justin, I apologize for my behavior.

To you justin, I offer my sincere apology for impuning both your character and your motives in this situation.

To the members and onlookers in this forum, I apologize for my actions in disrupting what is normally, a peaceful place to congregate and discuss the things that have brought us all together.

I am a scrapper, and I will fight at the drop of a hat. Sometimes that, dark side, of my personality gets the better of me. I live by a code. A code to fight hard, very hard, for what is right and just. In this case what I may have seen as right, might not be so. Maybe the, reasonable man, was not me.

Justin, if we ever meet in person, I will shake your hand, apologize in person, and offer to buy you a beer.

My Best Regards,

Ernest Emerson

IMHO it takes a hell of a man to do and say what you just posted, much respect for that.

I'm Irish as well and damn proud of it

Good to hear! It takes a lot of pride swallowing to make that sort of post. Good on you Mr. Emerson.

This caught me completely by surprise, which means that I have clearly misjudged you. Sincere applause, Mr. Emerson.

Very glad to read this and even prouder to carry Emerson's everyday:thumbup:

Good man Mr Emerson!

I think that many of us, including me, appreciate a person who is passionate about life. That passion can manifest with fists or friendship, but it is certainly better than being lukewarm.

Awesome mr. Emerson. Every now and then my defects of character rear there ugly head also. You are not alone.

Well pardon my language but holy shit... Looks like I'll be hanging onto my Emerson's and having my little old lady bitch at me some more for buying a bunch more of them.

To you Ernie, you have swayed my opinion. Takes a man to stand up and apologize like that. I also am a fighter, and I know that the heat of the moment can cause me to also get carried away.

I also apologize for my words towards you Ernie. I was just plain pissed.

I will put a video up still of the knives when they arrive, and will mention that you have integrity. I still have a bad taste in my mouth, but it is more like a coors bad taste compared to a heineken like it was before!

Haha all BS aside, that sounds good Ernie. Cheers. If you wanted to talk in private at all, you should have my contact info.

We are all humans; sometimes having bad days and our threshold is very early. After dealing with a situation for many many years we develop/recognize a pattern. That pattern is true 99% of the times and we jump te gun and
Misjudge that 1% out of conditioned reflex.
I applaud both for your passion to fight and go after what you think is fair or the right thing to do. I'm also glad that as humans we can recognize our mistakes.
I hope we all learn from this and as stated in another post, you can't make a generalized statement out of 1 issue. Chit happens and is not te end of the world.
Cheers

THANK YOU!!!

None of this was about me, but it was freaking killing me inside. And I too know a little sumpin' about being Irish.

Sincerely,
Shannon

From a curious but impartial onlooker, this is a VERY cool resolution to what appeared to be a nasty downward spiral.

Nicely done both of you.

Good on you too buddy:thumbup:

Thanks bro. Haha remember yesterday, I told you the only way I'd consider hanging onto these knives and buying more of them is if he apologized.

Speak of the devil. A very pleasant surprise and reassuring of being an emerson fan. It was kinda funny, I kept picking up my 7 and thinking "this thing pisses me off" and putting it down and carrying my zt 301 for the day.

Later on I would look over at it and force myself not to grab it and put it back in my pocket! Haha it was a sad feeling that I was going to get rid of knives I loved but just couldn't keep because my pride just wasn't gonna have it.

I only hope that the roadhouse and 10 give me the same feeling that the 15 and 7 do. Which is reassurance, and confidence that the blade is solidly locked. We shall see.

my hat is off to Mr. Emmerson

I'm very happy to see this outcome. Sometimes people differ and get carried away in the argument, but true class shows when everything cools down and you shake hands.
