Emerson Offers Apology

I, too, respect you Mr. Emerson more than I did yesterday. Takes a man to apologize.

You seem like a good man who has a ton of pride in the company you have built and I can certainly respect that.

Now why didnt Kai Corp have a bunch of people telling him good job on his apology yesterday?

will not derail. Mr. Emerson since you appear on line are you still reading and accepting emails ?? And is the email you posted other thread active ? thanks, rb black

Oh cool! Glad things worked out, and hats off to Mr. Emerson. Hopefully you get tube knives all fixed up, Justin.

Takes a man to admit when your wrong and apologize - especially in a public forum. Doesn't completely remove the tarnish, but sure gets close. Well done, sir..respect gained.

I usually watch these Emerson threads but don't participate. This took a lot, I'd think, yup say publicly. This kind of integrity is why I want to support Emerson knives, I just haven't been able to yet.

I was extremely disappointed in Emerson yesterday after reading that thread. Believing something is not an excuse, and far too often Emerson jumps the gun on putting out statements.

This is a sincere apology though if I've ever seen one on BF, and I am relatively impressed with the response. Good for you Mr. Emerson, it doesn't take a big man to fight, but admitting error quickly and wholly is a mark of high character. I also was in the camp of being disgusted by the brand momentarily, but today would purchase a knife again. Don't think it's a snap judgement - it's been building a long time, but I don't own any products that are perfect, and sometimes the difference isn't a small difference in quality - it's the company behind the product.

I believe Emerson makes the best knives they possibly can - but I don't see many production knives period that are flawless.

I was put off by Mr. Emerson’s and some of MOhunter’s remarks yesterday as well.

I believe that most people will fight when provoked hard enough; I am not impressed by fighting.

However, it takes a real man to admit the he was wrong, swallow his pride, and try to find a common ground.

Thanks to BOTH Mr. Emerson and MOhunter for taking the hard road today!

Thank you, I will always admit when I am wrong. The only thing I am guilty of here is getting worked up and throwing a few jabs back. I'm very happy to see it end like this, hopefully the knives are going to be done right which I'm sure he has done.

I just didn't see how it would be possible for them to be adequate using the same parts that I sent them in with.. But the video unboxing will tell all.

You know how hard it is to do that?!? Hat's off to you Ernie! That takes real strength right there. Thanks for that influence sir!

Glad the dust has settled.

Personally, I love your knives and my 8 is the one I reach for first. I have the same fondness for it as I do my dog.

And that really is not a light statement, as my dog and I are pretty damn tight!
