Recently got this in a trade. The knife dose not come with a box or any paperwork. Having said that it does not seem to have worn or used much. The edge is quite sharp and appears to be the factory edge.

The Police fixed blade has the Emerson touch in every detail. It's clip point style blade has a saber grind and a slight swedge on top, which allows the blade to maintain greater thickness and strength throughout. The handle is an ideal size and includes a blade guard to prevent nasty slips. Not quite the Wave on the blade spine, but the addition of the thumb ramp on the Police model proves useful and gives a nod to its folding kin. A single Allen wrench is all you'll need to pull the black G-10 scales off because the back scale has threaded sleeves to accept the screws. The molded sheath includes a belt attachment system for adjustable performance.
