Emerson Quality Control (Wassup)

Just received a brand new Commander (via Internet) which has grind marks. Yes, I know that function is not compromised. Since I did not have a chance to visually inspect before the purchase (my fault?) I would like to send this Commander back to Emerson for an exchange. The question is would Emerson do an exchange based on this flaw? Or are production knives substandard?
 
That sounds like a question for EK or Derek. I can tell you that EK is an outstanding company with regard to returns, repairs, etc.
