Emerson Raven w/ A style Blade

I am closing this thread and moving over to the For Sale area.

I am looking to trade an Emerson Raven with the A style blade. I bought it from a collector who told me that it had never been used or sharpened. i wanted a non-coated A style blade but have not seen any for a while, so i grabbed this one thinking i would just remove the coating. I have now decided against that. I'm just gonna be patient.

The blade looks brand new and unused to me. There is a small, maybe 1/2 inch slight rubbing mark on one side of the blade. The clip was not flush against the handle so i removed it and bent it in a bit. Now it is flush. The screws thus do not look brand new. The clip does not look brand new and pristine, but it does not look beat up, scratched or heavily used either. The lock engages at about the 50% mark. Overall the knife looks in fantastic condition.

This Raven is marked as being made in 1997 on the blade under the Emerson logo. I was told by Emerson Knives that this batch is made from ATS 34 steel. They also told me that these early models are becoming relatively rare.

I forgot to include in the description that the pivot screw looks like it may have been adjusted. Tightened or loosened. A little bit of the coating looks scraped. Even so, this knife looks a lot better than i may be making it sound. I am just trying to give the most accurate and thorough description i can give. Thanks again for looking.

The Raven is still up for trade. I have also decided to throw in a very very mildly used Kershaw Skyline. I bought it new from a Wal-Mart and have used it very very rarely. Aside from the pocket time, i would say this is very close to like new. I want to replace it with a Damascus version. Anyway, the trade remains the same, only now there's a bonus Kershaw Skyline into the deal. Lastly a couple of words on boxes. The Skyline box is no longer with us. The Emerson box is included, but it has writing on it regarding the knife being a gift for someone.
