Has anyone experienced the forward boltster nut on which the blade rotates loosening on these models when opened and closed many times.
 
Alex - I believe you are talking about the pivot screw. They do tend to loosen over time, but Loc-tite (I beleive there are MANY posts regarding Loc-tite on the Forums) fixes that up...

Unless, of course, you want to be able to disassemble the knife like Ernie intended, in which case ya just tighten to preference and leave it.

Emerson intended his knives to be taken apart and cleaned. With that being said, there are different strengths of Loc-Tight on the market. Purchase something that isn't permanent. That way the screw stays in place, but the knife is still serviceable. By the way, I have a Mach-1 and the screw doesn't loosen on it, and I have taken it apart. Good Luck
