Emerson worth the money?

While I'm not a fan of the single edge sharpening, personally, Emerson Knives to me represent a good value for the purchasing dollar. I've been on Ernie for years to produce a stonewashed / tumbled finished model instead of the satin grey, but his knives are consistent sellers and I rarely have returns or exchanges on them.

I think the new finish is a ceramic coating. I personally don't care for it as I have found that it will chip or wear readily around the point. Leaves a black looking point. Like I said I prefer to carry an EKI as an edc. The 11 and Commander work for me. I have carried and own many folders. I choose the EKI's just for grip ergo's. They work and work well. Handle one and choose which one works best for you. You won't be disappointed if you can look first and pick from a couple. The C.S. they have is next to none also. Fine people to talk to. keepem sharp

I purchased the Combat Karambit and I love it. I love it so much that I had to have another Emerson. I pulled the trigger on the CQC-10, which cost me $150USD off ebay, so about 220 dropped off at my house, I should get that tuesday. I also plan on getting the P-SARK, LA GRIFFE, CQC-11, Commander and a fixed blade Karambit. The CQC-10 has the more useful blade design for my EDC so that will join my Subcom.

Spyderco is also a good maker, but I'm not too keen on a lot of the knives they come out with. Great for the dollar though.
Don't like the look of their waves. not cool man

Happy Hunting
