Empty your pockets.. Traditional knife and stuff.. please No Moderns & No guns

I always have some kind of traditional in my pocket. Lots of the time its my Case medium congress (one of my favorite pipe tool knives besides a stockman). My favorite lighter an Imco triplex because I just find it neato, my wallet and pearwood pipe. Thanks for the generosity. Not in for the GAW, just wanted to share.

As someone else said, you guys do carry a lot of stuff. What kind of pants must one wear to carry all that? Would drive me crazy to have all that rattling around the pockets.

Here's mine today, pretty typical actually...

The phone took the picture, but there is the Harris tweed case for it, key-ring with house keys, locker keys, handcuff key, garage key, car key, bottle opener, string with a ring on it (sentimental- I found it at the iguazu falls), wallet and boker congress.

Damn camera wont work, Great pics guys, So much for no moderns and no guns. Its interesting to get a look in a persons day to day routine with whats in there knickers, After looking at this thread I need to get an opinel back in my pocket.

I like the idea of explaining what is in your pockets and why, instead of just showing a picture.

My Altoids tin keeps all of my small stuff together; key, band-aids, classic, battery, coins and spare $10 note, sewing needle and thread, and of course a couple of Altoids mints! :p

I have a basic homemade leather wallet (no slot for coins, so it stays thin)

I have also been reading the pocket version of Beowulf, (It's always handy to have some entertainment at hand.)

I have been carrying my GEC congress, a Tpop and a No7 opinel. The congress is my main knife, I keep one sheepsfoot and the pen with a polished edge, and have the other sheepsfoot and the spey with a jagged edge. I find that the blades are plenty big enough for everything except food, so I always have my Opinel in my backpocket, specifically for food. I even use it on ceramic plates, it doesn't matter if I ding up the edge as much because it is only used with food. Also, the I Tpop works great as a general use tool, for any job that doesn't need an edge.
*Also in my backpocket with my Opinel I always have a hanky to use as a napkin, to wipe food off the Opinel ect. (note, not to blow my nose on ;) )

Thanks for the GAW.
This is what I basically carry around on a daily basis.
For the most part based on the stories/posts of Carl.
Before I came to this forum I only carried a beat up SAK from the army, wallet, keys and Tobacco poach with disposable lighter.
However, I must admit that all of these items come in handy from time to time.

keys with compass and firestarter, new STR-EK, surefire e1e with malkoff dropin. Phone (cheap android) was taking the pic.

The compass is useful when coming out of the subway if you're at a station you don't normally use (easy to get turned around). The firestarter I just put on my keychain... there's a conservation area a 5 min drive from work, so I've taken to going down there for lunch once in a while, and use the firestarter to light up my white gas stove for soup or coffee or ramen. The saw on the GEC works great for that! The flashlight is all around useful, especially with the days getting so short all of a sudden. I work in an office so the knife doesn't get a ton of use, but I usually cut up an apple or two in the day, open packages, that sort of thing.

16 picture posts to go to start a GWA here.. Awesome stuff everyone. It is really neat to see what everyone has and actually uses. Definitely some food for thought here.

Cheers,

Here ya go. This is my typical daily pocket carry. The Case knife pictured (Small Texas Jack) is the rotation slot, so it's not always that particular knife. Also missing from the pic is an Ace hard rubber pocket comb.

The pens are old Cross Classics with plastic bodies, that I've carried for years. Those and the reading glasses are in my shirt pocket.

We have a Leatherman Squirt P4 multitool clipped to a Streamlight Nano in the left front pocket, Boker KeyCom and Fenix E-15 flashlight clipped to the right front pocket, Tumi leather wallet in left rear, traditional knife du jour carried vertically beside it, right rear pocket is empty. Wad of keys / electronic fobs goes randomly in one of the front pockets.

Also missing is the Samsung Galaxy S3 that I formerly carried in a belt clip, until said belt clip broke this weekend, so now it's in the front right.

EDIT: I just took another pic of today stuff and removed the modern folder - no the light is really not the best, as it is night out there ...
I hope you enjoy it somehow

excluded is dust and pocket lint - I also emptied the jacket (Delica 4 and Blistex) were in there - the snuff tin I used to carry in my shirt pocket

Have I mentioned I have the habit of pocketing cig butts?
As do I. As someone who hates litter, I can't toss 'em on the ground either. I keep 'em in my pocket until I reach a trash can.

Not an entry, please, but... Here's what's in my pockets today. Sorry it's blurry... didn't notice until just now.
(Bic is standing in for the usual Zippo, until I get around to buying more gas.)

Post a picture of everything in your pockets (please include your pocket knife) and if you can a brief description of what is there and why.

If we collect 50 posts I'll begin a surprise giveaway within this thread. Enjoy ladies and gentlemen!

Cool idea, mudguard. Here's mine ...

From top-left: Halls lozenges (suffering from a flu and sore throat right now), Opinel no. 6 with walnut handle, Suzuki harmonica, pen, small front-pocket wallet, Gerber Shard, tissues (if you have kids, NEVER leave home without these babies!).

Not shown, but also almost always in my pocket: iPhone and keys.

At this moment it's these items... Wallet, single cell AA Streamlite worn on the belt, Leatherman I've carried daily for 19 years, Spare ignition key (never get locked out!), Clippers, Pemberton and Eureka Jack. Add a pen or another item now and then, but these are the basics.

Wallet for money, licenses, cards.... etc.
Pocket Knife for cutting. Most everything else goes in a backpack keeping my pockets empty.
