Tess just finished this sheath and I thought I'd share. maybe the knifemaker will jump in here and claim his knife too. If he's not at work.

em,em,em, J. that sheath looks really nice and it definately compliments the blade. As far as the knifemaker......wellll..when you get as old as him you have to take a nap after work. :D :D

Wonderful sheath and the sticker aint bad either.I've got a whole emu leg sitting in my living room. It was a Valentines present for Deb. She gets animal parts, I get cookware. Aint love grand?

I don't know which one is the most gorgeous J. The sheath is beautiful and whoever made the knife:rolleyes: Needs to pat himself on the back ....after he wakes up!

will the real Peter Nap
Please stand up :D :D

Three cheers Tess!!
I love the way you did the inlay panel(s) in two parts rather than one. REALLY adds to the visual interest. :D  :D

Did you pad under the inlays - can't quite tell? Padding adds another level of interest yet most makers don't do it. It is very easy to do - I got a couple of tricks up my sleeve if you're interested....

Great work J and Tess.Nice combination of materials on both too.I like Chuck, like the way you did the spacing on the inlay.Dave:)

I love it! I have had a sheath made for a damascus dagger and had him use an ostrich knee hide. Yours looks just as good. Nice work Tess!

Tess, you rock! That is some beautiful work. As soon as I get my first cable piece done, its headed your way. I'll give you a call.

OK I guess he's still napping...The knifemaker in this case is Indian George. We all bust his chops but, he makes a very cool knife. Where the emu came from, I'm not sure. George supplied it. Tess has used quite a bit of ostrich before but, I thought the emu was cool looking. Kind of a smaller tighter pattern to the leather (makes sense I guess).

Shows yet again why I suggest Tess when a maker asks me where to get leather work done. :)

My, what a package! Tess really did justice to IG's knife, for sure. There is certainly a lot of painsaking work involved with projects like those.IG must cut his relish to one part per million for a deep etch, but it certainly came out great.

john I made a pot of deer stew the other day and put 1/2 tp
of that stuff in it and didn't tell the wife..
she had a bowl and asked Damn how much pepper did you put in that stuff...
hahahaha I told her what I did
she told me not to do that again..:D :D

From what I remember of MA weapons laws it sounds like IG's relish would be in violation of a number of them. ;)
