I'm fairly new to the forums, but would like to offer my end grain cutting boards for your consideration. Each is made from the hardwoods I can get locally. Occasionally, I have can get to specialty lumber yards and pick up some exotics. Currently, I have hard maple, walnut, purpleheart and bloodwoods on hand.
Here are a couple pictures of a maple and walnut board I am currently using in my own kitchen. It measures about 17"x12"x1 1/4" thick, with all sharp edges rounded over. Non-slip rubber feet and finger grooves on the bottom side. The finish is a couple of coats of mineral oil.
Price for a board made with domestic woods is $125+shipping. If you would like one of the exotics, please add $10. I'd also be willing to work out a trade on multiple boards for decent kitchen knives. In particular, I'd like a stainless 7-9" Chef's knife at the moment.
Each board will be made to order with about a 3-4 day turn around time.
I'm not sure what the rules say about direct links to my i-trader feedback on other forums, but I am happy to supply them by email.
