Hey Guys! I wanted to let everyone know about some brand new TSK I will be offering. It is an end grain cut and offers a look much different than the normal material.
It has a very cool wavy pattern and the wire has sort of a "starry" look.
The plus side, is that it will also be easier to finish, since the majority of the wires showing are the ends. Which will not lift up after being sanded.
Like any thin end grain cut of wood or other material, this doesn't carry the same strength as the standard material. I would recommend sharp tools when cutting and drilling.
If you have handled any thin end grain or burl material before, you can expect the same level of strength. I would NOT recommend using these as stand alone frames for folders. Just full disclosure.
I am selling these as sets of scales. Most come oversize to listed specs.
OAL - 4 3/4"
Width - 1.5"
Thickness - appx. 1/8" It comes rough saw cut and is oversized to be sanded smooth and flat.
