It appears KAI issued a cease and desist letter to Brous over their sub frame locks infringing on their patent...

Could become a collectors item...
 
He still has a liner lock SS, and the framelock as well to go along with tbe neck knife version.

I doubt the Silent Soldier as a model is going anywhere.
 
Yeah KIA sent out one before to Microtech as well...

Yeah, I guess a spokesperson said it isn't personal, just business... which, I get, if you have a patent on something you don't want others to be using it...

Speaking of which, Benchmade's axis patent is coming to an end soon isn't it? Wonder who and how many are going to jump on that?

That's a good question. Their Axis lock is awesome imo.

Not a huge fan of the Axis lock, had 3 springs break on me. Luckily I was in Afghanistan at the time so Benchmade sent springs out to me. I'd have no issue with them if Benchmade would let me buy backup springs from them.
