I'm mainly a Police 4 Lightweight user and was curious to try K390 to see if it'd be worth the upgrading my P4 to.
I've had some knives in partial serration that have been ok, but I hear you have to commit to full serration to really experience and enjoy it. Had a very ripe, wrinkled up cucumber in the fridge my peeler was having trouble peeling. The Delica made easy work of it. Earlier I did decide to do a couple light passes on a ceramic rod and strop a bit on my leather belt loaded with green compound. Wasn't sure if a little ceramic and strop would make much a difference on this hard of a steel but I'm actually impressed the ease of edge maintenance on K390. Was also able to carefully slice some wilted leaves off my wife's succulent that is very fragile. I wasn't sure how I was going to trim it without accidentally uprooting the whole plant, but K handled this delicate process with ease. Maybe that's why it's called a Delica? If you are a Police fan and serrated edge is an option.
Serrated K390 is a beast.
Spyderco could have stuffed a little more blade in the Delica but decided not to:
.
Carrying these today and did some comparison shots of the Blade Forums traveling Spyderco Delica 4 in K390 with the Chris Reeves small 31 Sebenza.
