A rare sighting of the Hasiya!
I know somebody has been waiting for one, I can't remember who...

And an M43 with a guard!

Oooooooh. A Hasiya! If only it was wood, and white metal bolster...:(

in for hasiya! email sent; great deals today, love the new guards on some of the khuks like the m43

2.3 lb m43 with gaurd!. If it was a lil lighter i'd of gave it a home. beatiful! I love kumar's handles.

I've been thinking of ideas for a custom m43. Once i get my dotd 32oz in the mail and feel its weight, i know exactly how i want my custom to look now. That m43 with a fuller would be my dream knife ..once i figure out how much weight i can swing around.

I just love the guard. I have an inherent *fear of trying to stab something, having my hand slip and then messing up my finger tendons. I know a kukri isn't necessarily a stabb'n knife, but i really like that feature.

If only I was rich, I'd of took em all and lived with the guilt of robbing all you sharks. That hasiya sings, and the M43 and the Chainpuri, and the Bilton and the belt knife, I seem to have developed a stutter.

Well, now i have a question. Is there a point to having a bolster if there is a guard like that?? I'm designing my perfect custom m43 :)

The bolster can be skipped if it's a chiruwa handle. An example:

I'm not sure how rare it is, but I've only ever seen two dui chirra with this special guard. First time I saw it was the March 2nd, 2010 DOTD. It was 18", horn, chiruwa, by Tirtha and $225. So beautiful. It spoke to me.

Asked Auntie to have a 16" version made to fit my smaller hands and KMFR sheath. Due to all the happenings in Nepal, it took over a year, and they were out of antler for the handle, but it was still well worth the wait.

"Chiruwa" is otherwise know as "full tang" where a slab of the handle material is pinned to each side of the tang (like with the M43 or the Chiruwa Ang Khola).

The common alternative is a "stick tang" that passes through the center of the handle and comes out the end, where it is peened to secure it.

As someone who owns two Chainpuris, I believe everyone should own one(or 4). There as swift as jet fighters in the hand! And come in beautiful wood sheaths

Oh Man!!! Hasiya! That figures id be getting my beauty nap. Cool guard on the M43 too.
Grats Gehazi! Hope you got it! You got a pair now!
