I'm happy. I specifically wanted my first khuk to be an M43 because of some recommendations I had read from folks like Wildmike and such. Besides, I'm 6'8" with big hands and the handle profile might be more comfortable overall. I want this one to be a go-to for chopping.

I just received this bad boy. That was quick shipping. After looking over countless old posts about these Hasiyas and I think this is one from an earlier post.

It was one of the first posts I saw. Only a few days after I joined. I remember thinking how cool it was that you could end up getting one of the blades used to cut food for their dinner. It was one of the things that drew me here. I guess this Hasiya didn't sell back then because the one I got in the mail today is definitely the one from the earlier post. Lucky me. I can't believe I ended up with one of the blades from one of my favorite earliest HI memories.
 
It's possible but how can you be so sure. I haven't done a side by side comparison but my Hasiya looks identical too.
It could very well be the same, just asking. That was May so really not all that long ago.

To be offered for such a great price I assumed it had been offered at a different price before. I was looking at the earlier post and this one was the only one offered recently that was also 10 7/8 inch. No one bid on it. There were no comments at all. The shape is identical. The proportion is too. The Kami mark is located in the same spot relative to the S shaped humps. The S shapes on the tip are also the same. I held the knife over my computer screen and it is the same. Also identical pattern on the handle.




 
Cool aint it? Especially at that price. That was ridiculously low priced. I was goin to snag it noone else did soon. I want to put one on about 18" stick. Great knife! Grats Eric!

Thanks man. I'm glad you didn't. I love this little guy. I had been wanting one for a while. Ever since I saw this one. Couldn't refuse at that price.

Does anyone know the significance of the jingle-bob hanging from the handle? Religious, ornamental, functional?
