End of Year Sale for 12/30

Well, I'll need to check funds, as I've also been pondering on getting a smaller EDC type from HI.

It does look gorgeous, otherwise I wouldn't have asked about it :p; I like the price and white metal, but it's the heaviest blade I'd buy, really.

Gotta go to bed now, will check back tomorrow. I just don't want to keep someone more serious from grabbing it, hence my disclaimer :).

What would be the shipping cost to Canadian postal code B2W 1P8 be?.

In my experience, shipping to central Canada can be anywhere from $40-$65 or so. For a 32 ounce kukri, you're probably looking at about $55 or $60. But that's just a very rough guess based on a very limited sample size. And for what it's worth, I definitely wasn't charged any import or customs fees on my last two purchases from HI - not sure if I was charged anything on my first two. All the paperwork was filled out correctly, so I think maybe we're just in the clear for some reason.

The BC will still be available, I will check th deals when I am in US and with more teeth :). Someone please grab it, haha, before I change my mind. :)

What part of the US do you usually hit Moonw. I'm on the west coast, I know we got a lot of North Carolina folks, probably all the bases covered. Maybe you could purchase and have them sent to another member to hold till you can pick up?

I don't know where in Canada you are so just kind of thinking out loud for now.

Thank you - not in Canada, I'm in Europe but will be staying for two months in Chicago. I wanted to combine this deal w/ another knife under a single shipment, but my numbers don't look THAT good right now ;), after checking today (much smaller bonus than usually - sigh!). That's why I wrote the "disclaimer" that anyone else should have precedence over me to begin with. I'll be watching the deals when I'll be better - monetarily and geographically - situated :D.

I appreciate your offer, though, very very much :).

I buy ofthen from the States and couldn't figure out the logic as of why sometimes I was charged and sometimes I wasn't. So I called the governing agency. The lady told me as a citizen you should always report and pay the import taxes. But because of the time it take to process charges properly, they only do 1/10th of the crossing packages. The reason is because people would get upset about too much of a delay at the border. From my sampling experience I end up paying extra on more than 1/10th of my orders. During Christmas holidays, the volume is so high, I think chances to get taxed is fairly low.

The Gelbu just arrived! As usual about 10x nicer than I anticipated. Really love everything about it.

My first impression was why did it take me so long to order one.

I'll get some pictures when I get a chance. I'm so glad I went for it. Just a sweet sweet blade.
