Hybrid Canadian Belt Knife

Inspired by the Canadian Belt Knife design, this one is a hybrid of the traditional and modern with a little creative license on the overall profile to allow for a glove like fit in the hand.

Specs
Steel: 3/32" 15N20, 58-59 RC

Geometry: Full flat, near zero grind, 15° per side primary edge, 20° microbevel, and around .012" behind the edge. Extreme slicing ability.

Overall Length: 7 3/4"
Cutting Edge Length: 3 5/8"

Weight: 3.6 oz

Handle: Natural canvas micarta scales with Padauk bolsters and brass pins

Sheath: Black Boltaron included, and to be made per buyer's choice of taco or pancake.

Finesse Filet

This is a semi-flex filet knife designed as a collaboration with a customer who is an experienced fisherman and outdoorsman. After his prototype, this is the third one made, and the first available to the Knife Exchange on Bladeforums. He and the original owner both like theirs very much, but it may not be suited to your fileting technique, so please consider the following before you buy:

I called this the finesse fillet because I prefer to ride over the ribcage bones rather that cut thru them. Saves the step of removal and eliminates the chances of chipping the blade on larger bones.
