Two Bowies, the Every Day Bowie, and the Skinny Fat Bowie.

First is the EDBowie. It is simple and strong, light and easy to carry. By now most are aware that AEB-L is an exceptionally tough steel that holds a good edge at high hardness, and more importantly does so without giving up its status among the tougher stainless steels. We are used to seeing AEB-L ground very thin, but what if we took thin stock, and gave it a slicey grind, but left it a little thicker behind the edge, say Spyderco Military thick? I think at that point we would have a knife that still excels at cutting, but also brings a certain robustness to the table that higher carbide steels can't claim. That is the philosophy behind this build, hence the thin stock, but broad blade and robust tip and edge grind. This knife will cut well for you, but it won't need babying.

Specs
Steel: 3/32' AEB-L, RC 62-63

The Skinny Fat Bowie is so called because it uses thin blade stock, but has a broad blade, a perfect combination for great slicing and heaps of strength and size to go with it. This one is prced low because in the pics you will see I didn't line up the complex handle build perfectly. It is purely aesthetic, and this will be a perfectly functional knife for carry where big knives are permitted. I forgot to take a pic showing this, but there is just enough unsharpened spine for me to grab it with my medium/large hands in a comfortable Filipino grip without contacting the sharpened back edge. But you will notice from the pics that you wouldn't want to have it pointed in your face.
