I have a rare a Yaxell Takehisa hand made 8” chef’s knife with 211 layers of stainless with a ZDP189 core (HRC hardness of 66). This knife is no longer made and the first production run was stopped early because of the cost to produce these knives. Bought at an estate sale and asking $475 and will ship for free. These knives sold new for $600. A great deal on a one of a kind in its run of chef knives from Yaxell. Lifetime warranty from Yaxell.
I also have a Yaxell Super Gou 8” chef’s knife with 161 layers of stainless with a SG2 core (HRC hardness of 65). Bought at an estate sale and asking $225 and will ship for free. Lifetime warranty from Yaxell. No original box.
