Endura 3 Clip Question

I have an Endura 3 that I use as a beater. I keep the clip on it because it's nice having a knife or two with a clip, since I keep the majority of mine clipless. Trouble is, the FRN molding around the clip area is real worn, and the clip can move side to side. It can slide up to the lock release or to the bottom of the handle. It still works pretty good, but I was wondering if there was a fix for this anyone has tried I could do before it gets worse. Maybe epoxy or superglue or some sort?

superglue it in place, it will never move again. There is also the torch trick but I don't want to be responsible for you burning yourself :)

You could also try using a soldering iron to soften and reshape the FRN around the clip well. Not going to look great, but should stabilize the clip if done right.

No guarantees, since it's obviously dependent on your skill with tools and, while there are folks here who can rebuild watches, there are others for whom it's a major accomplishment to put the top back on the mayo jar without cross-threading it.

LOL .
try getting some lock thread (blue not red) apply it to the threads and tighten the crap out of it. that might be the easiest fix for you.

Might make it a little hard to get at the mayo next time he needs it :p

Isn't that a barrel clip on that knife? If I understand correctly the inlay pattern built into the handle mold is no longer keeping the clip from moving side to side. Quickest fix it I know is to drill a single hole through the clip and a slightly smaller one in the FRN under the lanyard hole portion. Then using a small diameter, short sheet metal screw that will thread itself kind of like Cold Steel uses in their clips from the start only theirs have no point, you can screw it in much like David Boye does on his small folder clip.
