Endura 4 ZDP

Hey, just a quick note to say I recently picked up an Endura 4 in ZDP I came across... just to try it out. Apart from the blade steel, which is one of my favorites, the weight ratio between blade to handle is a hard to describe pleasure to handle. A simple, high value for the $ folder!
 
I carry one every day...fully serrated...it's an amazing cutter.
Slim, lightweight, outrageously sharp, well made.

A winner all the way. :thumbup:
 
i'm impressed with mine, too. it's my only endura, as i lean towards the delica. i'm thinking of modding it.
 
I've had an Endura 4 BRG SE since fathers day, it is by far the best Endura yet IMHO, and I own em all (E1 FRN integral clip, E3 FRN and a VG-10 E4 FRN, all in SE of course;)). I've used it to open clam packs, cut poly rope, open and break down lots of card board boxes etc. No staining, no chipping and I haven't had to sharpen it yet, not even a touch up. The Endura gets most of the pocket time, my Strider SnG tanto the rest. No one does serrations as well as Spyderco.

Just got one (PE) on Boxing Day for a great price. Still new, haven't touched it, and it's going to go straight to Tom Krein for a regrind as soon as I get around to it.

Was that a PE or Combo ZDP Endura? I thought that Jay was out of the PE.
 
Jeez. I have a Manix on the way, but I'm about to buy an Endura just because. I don't even know if I've heard a negative comment about that knife!!!
 
yeah, I can't stop fondling mine.... plus it cuts like a mother, which shouldn't be a surprise for ZDP, but still. It has a fixed blade feel to it also, "why that is" is hard to put my finger on. Just a solid, built like a tank, simple knife.

As to "why that is", I remember Sal Glesser once saying it's a "refusal to accept anything less than excellence", or something similar.

It's a PE.
I uhhhh...found one?:o Jay only got a few with his Spyderco shipment and one of his other regulars backed out of getting one, so there was an extra. Right place at right time I guess. Why don't you call him, he knows who you are, and ask him if he still has any left. He was going crazy trying to get everything done, so maybe he hasn't unpacked the rest of them yet.
