Endura Bigger than expected

I noticed the same effect! I doubt the Police in G10 will....
To me the Endura was fantastic...I am pretty big however.I look silly with tiny blades...besides, cutting off a piece of big diameter radiator hose nice and square is easy with an Endura.Just one of the many uses mine had and excelled at.
The Endura is a good-sized knife, but not overly big, IMO. And I'm on the lower end of average size at 5'9", and my hands aren't big, either. I like Delica-sized, Endura-sized, even Military-sized are all comfortable for me, though I rarely carry my Military. And although I like the Dragonfly, for me it's a bit small/awkward to use for a one-hander.
I've been EDCing both a Delica and an Endura lately, and have always found both sizes to be perfectly comfortable in hand.

The Stretch is that in between knife. You can find them in ZDP189 or VG-10. Some sprint run super blues are still to be found.

Like the OP I thought the Endura was too big, and I had handled one at a Cabela's along with a Delica and PM2. I got a bunch of other Spydercos (9) before I finally got an Endura. Now it rotates with my PM2 and Manix 2 LW for EDC. It is very long I'll give the OP that. It fits in my pocket pushed back to the edge near my hip perfect almost disappearing. I also got a deep carry clip from theoriginalspaceman(Casey Lynch) and I like it even more. I've even thought about getting a Police 3 G-10, I think it would be the same but with a .5" longer handle and blade. It's like a larger nicer looking Endura.
If one were to wear ladies, I'm sorry, "skinny" jeans then you might have a problem. I'm also 6'1" and have bear claws with shorter fingers and a wider than average palm, so my hand covers most of the handle. I also got mine in blue, the only colors less tactical are probably pink, yellow, and purple. I had a woman in line at wally world ask me "What's that blue thing sticking out of the top your pocket?". I pulled my Endura out and she wanted to know how it worked so I opened it for her. She thought it was "cute" and wanted to know the brand and model to order one for her purse, which was almost the same blue by the way. I live in the boonies, so people here look at folders as tools.
My niece liked my Stretch better than the Endura that she called "too large" so I gave it to her as a B-day present. I"ll get another at some point but it was a little cramped in my hand. The Stretch is the next size down, but is discontinued except in ZDP-189. I'll probably wait for the Stretch 2 in FRN as it looks like it will have a slightly longer grip. For me the Delica was too small, comically small for my hand really. You might also try a Manix 2 LW, either the Black, Translucent Blue, or Darker Blue S110V are shorter in length for the blade and handle.
