Does the Endura 4 come with a bushing?

Looking the pictures I can see a screw instead of a rivet. So this also means it can be taken apart for cleaning and to adjust the blade tension, right?

I am gaining interest in Spyderco knives but have a lot to learn.

In my experience lockbacks from all knife brandsalways rock backwards from the pressure exerted when cutting and the backspring will stand proud of the handle. It returns to normal position after the cut is made. This is totally different than lateral blade play

How much give and movement is normal for an Endura? How about after being used for a few years?

Does WD40 work well on FRN or should I find some teflon based lubricant?

Thanks

I like Tuff Glide dry lube best because it does not attract so much lint.

Taking apart the Delica 4 or the Endura 4 models gets more people in trouble than that screw construction helps. In my opinion Spyderco would be doing everyone and themselves a favor to make both models an all permanent pin construction or make new metal spacer/spring holders for them.

I have probably put back together 50 or more of those for folks that got them apart and then could not get them back together again properly to save their behinds. I've lost count but I do have another Endura on the way to me at this writing actually and for this same thing. Most all of these messes are directly related to the FRN (fiberglass reinforced nylon) back spacer/spring holder in those models. The little nipple insert on each side of the spring holder is critical to proper spring tension and correct function. More often than not end line users just damage these poor things and some are nearly ruined by the time I see them.

Its hard to explain but trust me. Just because it has screws does not mean it is an easy take down knife. Oh, it takes down fine believe me. Its the put back together that stumps end line users. Do youself a favor and leave well enough alone if you get one.
