We're planning to make a change to a full flat grind on the Endura and Delica FRN models. We are concerned that the change to the grind could be received poorly by those that like grind lines and "stronger" saber grinds.

In order to test reacton without changing the current models, Eric would like to make some Endura and Delica models with full flat grinds (VG-10) but use some new colors to distinguish them from the current models. Odd colors that we've not used, maybe 3 or 4.

I know most of you ar afi's, but our interest is in what the "general" market might like.

I need your input on 3 or 4 colors with which to test these flat ground versions.

Red red red. I need a Red handle that isn't attached to a training blade.

I'd also like to see a Tan or Brown FRN.
Of course Orange is going to be suggested and I'll second it before it is.
The Toxic Green is a favorite of mine.

Did I mention Red? ;)

Is there anyway to do a mish-mash of colors? I don't know how the FRN is produced, but if layers or speckles of color could be accomplished I think that would look pretty cool.

Oh yeah... and Red. :D

That would also look fantastic. Toxic Green and Purple.. Joker Style. Sign me up for one! I also take a Red and Blue one and a Red and White one while we're at it. Great idea! Orange and White Creamscicle model with a black blade oooooooooh.

Sal, my head is spinning here. There's just too much that can be done. The possibilities are endless. I have to go lay down for a bit.

I would like: 1. forest digital camo, 2. desert digital camo, 3. charcoal gray, or 4. clear, see-through (is that possible with frn?).

Awesome to finally see some fully flat-ground E4s and D4s coming out. Long overdue, I must say :p

I'd like to see a BLUE-blue, a real blue, different from the "gray" blue on the Emerson models.

Gray-gray would also be cool, although it has been used on the Goddard, no? I don't think it has been used recently, though, has it?

As mentioned, Toxic Green would be cool, but I think that is meant to be the distinguishing color of the USN (was that the name?) Endura.

And how about orange? I don't believe orange has been used in any FRN models except the Ladybug.

a different color for each side?

sal

I'd dig red white and blue

I'd be in for a cobalt blue or a navy blue FRN FFG Endura - probably would sell better than the brighter colors( prod.) but for a test run hmm...
Red - not such a big fan. Orange I could definitely see, as would Khaki/tan - just not so much beige as a light-brown sandy color.

Toxic green is a bit iffy for me. I could see a dark forest green (perhaps with a hint of blue) or a dark teal/turquoise would be cool.

Translucent colors are sweet, like the leafstorm.

Can you do translucent FRN?

this thread is going to explode

I'm very partial to Blue, and I really look forward to this project. FFG in an FRN handle means affordable high performance. I look forward to this one.

Maybe 2 different extremes.... DARK gray and and high visibility orange? Gray blends in with different types of pants/shorts while the orange is great for backpacking or yard work.

Definitely interested in a FFG! Tan's a winner. White's good, though you've done that. Blue and silver maybe.

I would love a Full Flat Grind Delica 4, but for colors... how about a stripped handle to indicate a change, for example a blue and white (it can have 3 stripes or 30 either shouldn't be too hard to do)
You could also do transitions like from one color to a dark version or it or a light version, for example blue near the pocket clip and going towards the pivot it gets dark blue, or you could do black to white transition etc.
Suggested colors: Dark blue, Crimson, Gray, and Dark Green
I got the colors from the following website (here you can see what they look like)
