I understand some new Spyderco lockbacks come with a little vertical play. Most of mine don't seem to. My FRN Endura developed a tiny bit after a lot of use.
I just got a new G-10 Endura. When the knife is locked open, if I try to shut it, there is movement that is both felt and visible- a gap appears between the lockbar and the blade tang. It's pretty small.
If I send it in, are they likely to adjust or replace it? It does bother me but I'm not sure if this is covered under the warranty.
I wanted to add that I don't need to depress the lock button very far for the bar to disengage. I don't know if this makes it unsafe.
I'll also add that the lock bar lies flat in both the open and closed position.
