Hi All. I like to have a Spyderco on me at all times. When I lounge in my sweat pants, instead of clipping on my P-Mil. that is clipped to my work pants, I thought just buy an Endura ZDP-189 and clip that knife to my sweat pants. Man, was that a good idea or what? Just wanted to pass on a good idea. If you can afford it!

I like my ZDP Caly3 for the "knock around the house knife." But, I am looking at getting a ZDP Endura to send to Tom.....

My wife uses my "knock around the house knife" MORE than I do.

SO-LO---Yer a good man, let'n your wife use your knife. Maybe, you should get your wife her own little knife?! You will go bonkers with Tom's regrind. The ZDP-189 is a fantastic steel. Have a nice week-end.

I usually pack a zdp D4 when im kicking back in the house.
Im also seriously thinking about sending that to Tom when i get my first blade back from him ;)

Haze---Let me know what you do with Tom. I considered sending my E4 to him and then changed my mind. If Tom grinds the E4, it will cut like crazy but the knife looks different then. Then I thought he could just grind the first bevel to a Zero. He said the blade would still be too wedgie. SOOO, I'm still think'n on this one.

Tom is right about just zero grinding the bottom of the saber grind being more wedgie than his full flat grind. I took about 15 minutes to regrind my Endura 3 to a zero grind with my DMT XX coarse, and the ZDP Endura I had flat ground by Tom wedges much less in cardboard. Tom's regrind takes almost a 1/2 ounce off of the weight of an Endura, just to let you know how much steel he takes off. As for how the knife looks, I think mine looks better after the regrind, but I guess that is personal preference. I usually just look at the spine of the knife as I am cutting, and the better it cuts, the better it looks to my mind.

This may sound a little crazy to some folks (probably not so much here, but to non knife nuts) but my lounging around the house knife lately has been my Temperance. I'm usually still wearing pants with a belt even when bumming around the house and I can't really carry the Temperance around the city (I'm not sure if it's technically illegal, but I'm sure it would cause problems if a LEO decided that he had cause to search me and found it) so I clip it on when I'm at home. It's the only non kitchen knife I've ever owned that I like using in the kitchen. If I do happen to be wearing non belted pants I usually have my D4W on me which I carry pretty much every day anyway.

Cool I'm the same way I have a knife clipped on me at all times too.
I have a different knife for every outfit for example black jeans emerson.blue
jeans spyderco.and I change it up like my underwear:D

Il probably go for a full flat zero bevel, I know it will make he knife look different but all the ones iv seen still looked really good.
Im more concerned with performance than esthetics. The vg10 D4 was one i thought about sending but its really got to be the zdp

Yeah. do the same with my Endura. On the streets it's my back-up/utility blade but at home it's my primary.

Actually It's the only thing I have in this world thats on me 23 1/2 hours a day. I only take it off when I take a sh** and a bath.

Beats the hell outta the pocket clip though, my endura looks practically new after 5 years but the clip looks like it passed the 20th year mark.
