I just got my Endura ZDP-189, and I went to set it up for left hand Tip Down carry, and the pivot pin will not let me install the clip.:( The pivot pin is raised above the surface of the scale. So I check the other side, thinking that I may have to reverse the pivot pin, but that side is raised as well. I really do not want to grind down the pin, so I am hoping someone here may be able to help. Any other ideas? :) Is there a clip available with a relief hole in it?

Dave

The clips on all my FRN Delica and Endura 4s have holes through them to clear the pivot pin. Is the clip black or silver? The silver clips from the SS models do not have the hole. Someone could have put the wrong clip on it.

All of the D4/E4 FRN models that I have seen have a hole in the center of the clip so that they clear the pivot pin. If yours doesn't, I would e-mail Spyderco and ask them for the correct clip for the knife.

Thanks for the information. The clip is silver. You are right, the clip on my Delica has the relief hole. I will try to get the right clip
Dave.

Just so you will know, the silver clip from the Adventura has the relief hole and will fit the FRN E4/D4 if you prefer to have the shiny clip.

Yablanowitz - Thanks for the information. Actually I would prefer the black clip. Maybe I can drill my own hole in the clip. Any one ever do this?

I've never had to, the black clips already have the hole in them. The silver clip fron the D4 has room to drill the hole, but I suspect that spring steel is going to be pretty hard. I would advise using a carbide bit and taking your time. If you get in a hurry, you could overheat the clip and weaken it.

I called the company store to buy one. They are on back order :(
